Kids and Adults can't walk safely to schools (Crabapple Crossing Elementary School, Northwestern Middle School, and Milton High School), the new Milton Library, Broadwell Pavilion, local Crabapple businesses and Milton events because there aren't any sidewalks from Birmingham Hwy/Broadwell Road intersection to Freemanville Road on Mayfield Road. The current Crabapple Streetscape project also has no plans for the portion of Mayfield Road from Charlotte Drive/Road to Freemanville Road.

Would love for my kids to be able to walk to school. We live off of mid-broadwell and have to drive to where mid-broadwell hits mayfield and walk from there on "walk" to school days for our safety. Would also love to ride our bikes to the new library. Less traffic - and exercise for all!! Please make this community safe for our kids!
I jog and walk these roads all the time and it would be wonderful to connect them with sidewalks !!! I am always nervous on the curve on Mayfield leading up to the new library.
We made the walk from the library on Thursday. It was even more treacherous than expected. With cars speeding down beyond the charlotte street intersection and no where for us to walk safely, this is a ridiculous hazard that is a liability for all parties involved. City of Milton and City of Alpharetta need to wake up.
For over 10 years our community has been told these sidewalks would be going in, yet each promise fails to materialize. Please make this happen now.
We would enjoy walking to restaurants in Milton but we don't have sidewalks for safe passage. Instead we have to drive, which often results in dining somewhere else.
Yes. Let us have safety first. Side walks are essential.

We just moved into St. Michelle and our home is right on Mayfield. We were so excited to walk to the new library only to discover there was no sidewalk. We look forward to the possibility of being able to walk our kids to school but that will not even be an option without sidewalks to keep everyone safe. Thank you for this initiative.
