Right now in the Beaverton school district, there is a major budget problem that is occurring. We are trying to do something to stop this. A lot of the teachers that are teaching in the Beaverton school district for their first year are going to be let go due to lack of money. I believe that the school district should NOT fire these teachers. A lot of the teachers that are teaching in the district that they want to fire are excellent teachers, who teach important subjects and keep our class sizes down to reasonable amounts. They believe that the teachers that have taught in the district longer have more of a right to be there rather than The newer teachers. This should NOT be true. Teachers that have been teaching in the district for a shorter amount of time have been teaching with new methods and have been able to get through to a lot of students. While the teachers that have been teaching longer still make classes fun but, have a harder time getting through to the students. This make it harder for us to understand what is being taught with their traditional teaching styles/methods. By keeping more teachers, younger and older, we believe it will encourage students to enjoy learning and attend school more often. It would also keep class sizes down to a reasonable amount. In the end NO teachers should be fired going into the 2019-20 school district.
