Help us get Hudson's most loved teacher back in the classroom. She has been suspended indefinitely for practically squeezing a kids cheeks. We have constructed a peaceful protest to take place on Thursday and continue on indefinitely until the teacher, Mrs. Gauntner is reinstated. Please sign the petition to help us get her back

I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the school board regarding the indefinite suspension of Mrs. Gauntner. Legal counsel is currently reviewing the district policy to identify potential grounds for a grievance filing.

We are approaching the one hundred signature threshold which is the benchmark required to prompt a formal review from the school board. I am finalizing the language for a letter to the superintendent and need this total to clear that mark before I submit the request.

My daughter's favorite teacher at HHS, Mrs. Gaunter wrote her Honor Society introduction and wrote college letters of recommendation. I have never heard anything but good things about her teaching and more importantly her character.

This minuscule act should not tarnish this lovely woman's career. As a student of hers I saw the passion she had towards teaching. Something that many teachers at HHS lack. It would be a mistake to let a teacher of her character go.

As an alumni I still can't believe a student would be immature enough to actually "sue" her. She was one of the only teachers who pushed me to do my best and when I was struggling she sacrificed HER time to make sure I understood the material.

When reminiscing about best teachers at Hudson High School, Mrs.Gauntner is always on the short list at my home. All three of my boys were fortunate enough to land in her classroom. Their positive experiences in her classes have helped shaped who they are today. Thank you Mrs. Gauntner.

Mrs. Gaunter was my favorite teacher at Hudson; without her I wouldn't of passed Geology or chemistry. I don't understand why such an incredibly sweet, genuine hard working woman would be suspended over something so miniscule. Let her continue to help students, like myself.

It is heartbreaking that a student would attempt to ruin such a phenomenal staff member's career. Such a minuscule act that was obviously made in a joking manor is being blown to proportions beyond my comprehension.

Mrs. Gauntner is a rare-breed of educator who not only incorporates fun into learning, but really does push for academic greatness in the classroom. Losing her to something as petty as someone taking the joke too seriously is something that should not be continued. Both me and my sister had Mrs. Gauntner, and she has directly made an impact on my outlook of how much fun science is. Bring her back.

Such a shame we are so politically correct and paranoid, one unsubstantiated accusation can ruin a career. Where has the common sense gone?
