Final supporters
Last semester, University Plaza at Metroplex advertised that they were creating the State Street Express, a bus to bring UP at Metroplex residents to and from downtown, Thursday through Saturday. With the transfer of management, UP at Metroplex abandoned these plans and believe that the current situation with OCCT and Broome County Transit is "adequate" to transport students downtown. As many residents know it is a hassle to get downtown since the Downtown Express bus is usually full by the time it gets to UP and the Broome County Transit busses stop coming to UP at night. Either one has to risk getting stranded downtown or has to pay $4 for a cab, which surely adds up overtime. When I signed my lease for UP, I anticipated having the State Street Express and not having to struggle to get downtown at night. UP constantly advertised to "Drop the Taxi, sign a lease, and live it UP!" Guess what? We cannot drop the taxi and we cannot live it up! UP at Metroplex, please provide us with the bus that was promised and advertised!

University Plaza management is banking on us giving up but our numbers are climbing toward 250 signatures. Hit up your neighbors right now because they need to see that we are not letting this broken promise slide.

No bus and no parking near the buildings for weeks but tickets happen on the daily. Thanks UP.
This is one of the main reasons why I signed my lease because I knew otherwise that UP is in a crappy location and it's difficult to get downtown. Several taxi drivers refuse to go to UP, they rather go to campus instead to make more money. Also, when coming back from downtown without this bus, you need to go to campus first. Then, go from campus to UP and this is a hassel and very inconvenient.
Finding out the shuttle wasn't going downtown for late night was a complete outrage. It incredibly devalued the housing option.
This bus was a major selling point for me, and it's terrible how this corporation flat out lied to its customers. This is not only highly illegal, it's ethically dispicable.
I didn't live with my roommates from last year because I didn't think the bus at UP was real and they wanted to live in UP, turns out I was right and I saved myself a ton of money by not having to pay for cabs living downtown.
As a previous resident of UP, this does not suprise me. Their management does not care about their tenants and this needs to change

The owners of UP at Metroplex should honor the promise of the previous owners to current tenants. Many people took the promise of the State Street Express into consideration when signing their leases and should therefore be given the bus that they expected.
