We respectfully request the pardon and forgiveness of Raymond Moore, whom was expelled from Evangel Christian School of LIC on Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was expelled for a foolish statement made on the school website during a playful conversation with other youths. He stated in a joking manner that, he is a member of the Crips Gang. The statement made by Raymond was a false and deeply regretted one. The fact of the matter is that he has never been a part of any gang including the Crips, nor shown any interest of any kind of gang affiliation. On the contrary he has been an ongoing participating member of a church called City Mission Center which is located out of the Lower Eastside area of New York City. He has also volunteered his services within the church, helping other youths with a healthy and encouraging approach. Raymond Moore is also a star player of the basketball team AAU Force and Evangel Eagles with the future hopes of becoming a pro basketball player, but not with a blemish on his record. We the leaders and members of City Mission Center Church and all others who know the true character of Raymond Moore, humbly ask that you come aboard and join with us in signing this petition to keep and save one more youth from the destruction of the streets.
Enclosing, it takes a “Village to Raise a Child”
Let’s Be His Village!!!
I’m saddened by this. Raymond is a good respectful young man. He has dedication to the lord. Please forgive him for a foolish mistake that may haunt him for the rest of his life. How do you expect these kids to trust in the Bible and the lord as taught to them and God for forgiveness. Yet you can’t forgive him for a false statement.

It is a foolish statement or act if he posted it, with no relevance to the truth. The only harm he’s done is to his own credibility, out of foolishness. This is inappropriate behavior that the school can teach a good lesson from for the student to learn and grow. I do believe the discipline is Meredith but expelling the student is going above and beyond appropriate discipline. I respectfully request that the student be reinstated with a last chance final warning. Thank you in advance for your undivided attention on this matter.

What can I say but many children today will slip and fall and make mistakes but should we lock the gates and throw away the key on the youth our youth
I met this gentleman a few years back and seen so much potential from a young man with all odds and so much against him. Not once bitter but sweet a gentleman. We all know with our youth comes trial and error, some more than others but let’s really think about who should be on trial not this child but but those before him. Lets NOT let another one slip through our fingers
Not Just for one mistake,
Can you imagine if the many we’ve made were all judge like this?

Raymond Moore is an outstanding young man with the potential for greatness. I have taken a personal interest in his well being. Like most teenagers he is subject to following others and going off the path. It is our responsibility as Christians and adults to correct and redirect. I ask that the Principals and Deans of Evangel Christian school reconsider his expulsion and allow Raymond to continue in his education and his walk with Jesus Christ.
