Final supporters
Recently, an innocent teacher was fired for his opinion about an ignorant student. Many teachers have also complained about the student's behavior towards his fellow students and his teachers.This is not the only problem he has ever caused with a teacher, and most likely will not be his last. The teacher was accused of saying this student was "not worth saving in a fire". While there is no evidence that this teacher said this, every U.S. citizen has Freedom of Speech.

This is wrong. To begin with, the teacher should not have been fired over a rumor. Also, every American has a freedom of speech, now teachers are not supposed to insult people. But in middle school, lots of students gossip. It's part of immaturity. Bring this teacher back!!
What happen to this teacher was wrong but if he did say it or not he deserves a chance to speak for himself about the accusation I wented there for 3 years and even thought I didn't have him as a teacher or a choach he deserives a chance to defind himself and the victim deserve one to before any jobs are lost
Freedom of speech. I believe a teacher can have an opinion about a student. Teachers have their favorites and least favorites. If other teachers have mentioned that the student is misbehaving in class, punish the student not the teacher. Students have to learn that behaving a certain way won't get you anywhere unless you grow out of it.
Mr. Garrison has both taught my sons as well as Coached my oldest for 2 years. He is an amazing teacher, coach, and mentor--Not to mention he is adored by so many!! #BringCoachGarrisonBack
Mr. Garrison had no reason to be fired and even if Coreco feels that way it is only because he was a bad kid and I would know I was in his class. Mr. Garrison is a great teacher and a great person and with our support he has to be allowed to keep his job for as long as he pleases.
If you're gonna fire him, don't bring the kid out of the fire before him. Stop being so ignorant and offended all the time! #bringbackgarrison

Columbia County School Board needs to extend Mr. Garrison's teaching and coaching contracts immediately! It is absolutely ludicrous how he has been treated, all stemming from a verbal allegation made by a troubled student (which was later recanted). We cannot afford to lose good teachers like Mr. Garrison!
