Many visitors to the area are starting to show up from all over the country to run the Dragon and other area roads with vehicles tuned to run on high-ethonal content E85 fuel. Some work-related and utility vehicles are also capable of running on Flex Fuel. Unfortunately the closest E85 pumps are in Knoxville, TN hours away. This petition was created to show the local gas stations in Robbinsville, NC that there is sufficient interest in E85 fuel to consider installing a Flex Fuel/E85 pump on their property and generate enough income to offset the costs.
If you have now, or think you ever will in the future, operate a vehicle that could benefit from having this fuel option available, please sign our petition now and show your support for adding E85 fueling options to our area. Thank you!
*NOTE: This is not a movement to replace gasoline pumps! It's to give us another fuel option in this area. E85 makes about 20% more horsepower on a properly tuned modern
vehicle than gasoline. This is not the same as old-school ethanol hatred
for adding 10% to gasoline and forcing on everyone. If you hate better
fueling options, you are most likely the victim of manipulation. If you
don't like it, you don't have to use it. But that shouldn't limit access
to others who can take advantage of it.

With the ever-increasing market of developers producing vehicle tunes for makes and models of all kinds, in addition to the economy, performance, and affordability, it would be fantastic to see Robbinsville capitalize on the opportunity to offer this fuel alternative for visitors!
This wonderful town and amazing roads would gain so much more with the addition of e85 fueling, the money is being spent outside of the town and brought in by hundreds maybe thousands of people a year and that revenue belongs in Robbinsville!
It's extremely hard for me to make trips to the Dragon to the lack of e85. I love spending all day on the Dragon, but in order for me to do that I have to bring several gallons of extra e85 with me. That only adds income to other counties. Bring it to Robinsonville
I drive a Subaru tuned for E85, and don't want to be required to "detune" to 93 octane, or carry cans of dangerous fuel with me. When i drive through the Dragon.
Mazda Dragon Campers need this to happen. We have to bring in containers then find a place to store it. I have hid containers in the woods when staying at the Microtel.
Please bring e85

I have a VW Golf R that has been converted to flex fuel and I intend to be in the area at least one week a year for a very long time!!! You will have my business!!!!!
