Many visitors to the area are starting to show up from all over the country to the city and other area roads with vehicles tuned and made to run on high-ethonal content E85 fuel. Some work-related and utility vehicles are also capable of running on Flex Fuel. Unfortunately the closest E85 pumps are in Fort benning ga and Auburn Al..This petition was created to show the local gas stations in columbus ga that there is sufficient interest in E85 fuel to consider installing a Flex Fuel/E85 pump on their property and generate enough income to offset the costs.

*NOTE: This is not a movement to replace gasoline pumps! It's to give us another fuel option in this area. E85 makes about 20% more horsepower on a properly tuned modern vehicle than gasoline. This is not the same as old-school ethanol hatred for adding 10% to gasoline and forcing on everyone. If you hate better fueling options, you are most likely the victim of manipulation. If you don't like it, you don't have to use it. But that shouldn't limit access to others who can take advantage of it.
