Today we are faced with a world energy crisis and so far there is too little being done too late. Our culture promotes treatment methods in times of hardship as opposed to prevention. In our progressive mountain community we would like to lead by example for other cities and communities by creating a strong renewable fuels program. Summit County residents would like to voice their desire to see the County government support community based, alternative fuels programs. We feel that it is important to have this infrastructure in place for more sustainability and environmental responsibility. As Summit County residents we demand to have a strong alternative fuels organization in place, that is supported by the County and that will reduce our dependence on foreign fossil fuels.
