The transit board finally agreed to reroute the service to the apartment complex gates. Getting here was exhausting but knowing everyone can get home safely makes it worth the struggle. I will be keeping a close eye on the schedule to ensure they actually follow through with the change.

University Place & University Terrace are located at Clemson, beyond the Sonic junction on the left. These two apartment complexes are home to hundreds of Clemson University students & families. The nearest CAT bus stop to these complexes is the Sonic Junction (Clemson to Central) & Calhoun (Central to Clemson) on the red route. This route is mostly used by people from these two complexes. But the stops are 10 minutes away by walk from these complexes. Due to delay in buses & discrepancies on the app, many students miss the buses, therefore the classes. Also, in nights, there are no lights on the 220 Elm Street. Students find it really difficult to walk from the bus stop to these complexes and vice versa. Reports of rash driving & mugging have surfaced in the recent past at these neighborhoods. Considering the safety and comfort of residents from these complexes, we kindly request Clemson Area Transit to provide a bus stop through college street. This is not new. During the mugging incident CATbus did run its service through University Place. To ensure further safety, we request CAT to restart its service.

The emails I send to the transit office remain ignored but I am still pushing for a response regarding the safety of our route. It is exhausting to keep repeating the same facts about the lack of lighting and the dangers students face when walking these streets late at night. I am not stepping back until they acknowledge that this change is a basic necessity for our community.

Given the number of students live at University Place, CATBUS should have a stop there.
I used to live at university place. The current bus stop at Verizon is quite far from university place, university terrace and riverbank commons. The walk from the current bus stop is poorly lit and quite dangerous at night. A lot of students who live this side of clemson use cat bus. Hence it makes sense to have a bus stop here.
Safety wise this is the best decision to bring catbus to 220 Elm st. It will also save time and efforts if implemented
It would be great if the CATbus can arrange for bus stops of both clemson bound and central bound services (unlike the LeMans bus stop).
It will be great if you can add a stop near University Place/University Terrace since both Elm street and Calhoun street are very dark during nights.
CAT bus service at UP/UT would be great! It will make commute to the University much easier.
Badly need the bus stop ASAP

I live at riverbank commons apartments and want a cat bus stop closer to my apartment than hwy 133
