We, the undersigned, urge the new Management of RAK Animal Welfare Centre based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, to bring back into force their TNR (Trap Neuter Return) Programme. We need to control the number of feral cats and kittens out there and eliminate their ablity to reproduce. Stopping this Programme is going backwards in time. TNR was a step in the right direction. We therefore urge you to bring back into force your very successful TNR Programme as soon as possible and let us continue together to control the feral population and reduce the amount of suffering. This Petition will be sent to as many local groups as possible in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, covering a vast number of individuals and companies who will surely support this very important cause.

TNR is so important both to the cats and RAK for visitors to RAK it shows they are responsible and progressive in their animal welfare.

It was very helpful to allow individuals to bring in cats that are not so easy for the stray cat team to find - cats that live under cars or down alleys etc. We hope you will allow us once more to bring these animals to the RAK Animal Welfare Centre.

The UAE cannot expect the expats to do the work for them! We go trap, feed, treat at our own costs, the least they can do is free TNR!

This initiation is extremly important. Until we can educate pet owners to be responsible, we have to stop the multiplication of stray cats in the area! They are hungry and suffering in this climate, while taking refuge in my garden, garage, making a mess.

This community is in need to have the TRN program bought back, there are so many stray animals that get helped by individuals. There is not always time to inform the concerned departments of animals in need. So taking away the right to help animals in need is wrong. You only work certain hours we work 24/7.

The free TNR program in RAK was what most impressed me when we moved here. That the emirate had the foresight to sponsor this sort of program was impressive for the Middle East. It is such a step backwards very sad and closed minded.
