As I promised I have created a petition I hope you all take a few minutes to sign and forward it to friends & family. Myself & and a group of Emirati animal lovers are organizing a very serious and tough meeting with directors from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah municipality and a group of environment agencies to discuss the condition we animal lovers are facing and the country not to forget the pain and suffering the poor animals are going through. We are going to cover some points like: 1) The Cause of the problems & its effects. 2) Laws enforcement on animal abusers, illegal animal traders and pet shops. 3) Rules & Regulations for all animal/ pet owners 4) The changes need to be made 5) Future plans. We have to hold hands and do something about it If we animal lovers don’t be determined and FIGHT with all power, we will by no means reach our goals. We can overcome this challenge and fight both municipality and environment agencies. This is such an important issue here in the UAE and urgently needs to be addressesd, the sooner the better. I strongly believe that a trained task force needs to be created to implement the animal welfare laws and also to protect the environment. I pray and hope that the UAE government is prepared to work with rescuers and support their hard work and recognise their continuous dedication towards making the country more beautiful and safe for all the animals and the environment.
it is heartbreaking to see how the animals are treated in the markets here. something really needs to change now.
Glad someone is finally taking this to the municipalities. The conditions at some of these pet shops are just awful.
Finally!! Hope the authorities listen because the situation is getting way out of control in Dubai.
STOP THE TRADING. We have enough stray animals already that need homes. Please fix this.
Every day in our communities, we see the tragic consequences of people viewing pets as luxury shopping items rather than a lifetime commitment. I have personally witnessed heartbreaking neglect across Dubai, including dogs locked inside small garden kennels all year long through severe summer heat, and pets left confined on apartment balconies.
