Transport
for London has suspended bus route 170 westbound between Battersea Church Road
and Lombard Road.
The
reason for the suspension is that the new fleet of buses introduced by TfL on
this route exceed the height restriction at the Cremorne Railway Bridge on
Lombard Road.
It
is unacceptable that TfL have failed to consider the height restrictions of the
railway bridge in introducing its new buses, and have now withdrawn the 170
service without notice.
Many
local residents depend on this vital service, particularly during the winter
months.
Accordingly,
the undersigned hereby demand that Transport for London
immediately reinstate the 170 bus service westbound along Battersea Church
Road, Vicarage Crescent and Lombard Road.

Please make sure this bus route is put back and in use again. I am in a wheelchair and it is too far for me to push home - to vicarage crescent - from other bus stops!!!!! And it is vital that I have to use th bus. Why has it been stopped????
