Some of you may or may not know, but University Facilities Management has mandated that we cannot post posters anywhere on our building. For most of us, that is the only way we find out about exciting architecture events and shows that are happening. The purpose of this petition is to bring to light the fact that we are a creative body of students, which the posters are an extension of. We plan to bring this petition to University Facilities Management and the President's office in the hopes that we can reach some resolution that will allow us to responsibly put posters on the building. We would greatly appreciate all of your support in keeping our college connected through events and studio shows.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many of you feel the same way about our blank walls. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that keeps showing up to support our creative culture.

building 5 feels so empty without the posters. we literally never hear about events until they are already over.

BRING THEM BACK. emails get deleted immediately but a physical poster actually gets noticed.

Posters and the related artwork are one of the only outlets the students in the CAED department have for promoting what we do here, and building 5 should be our canvas for showing them.

total overkill by facilities. let us put our stuff up, it’s an architecture school for gods sake.

The college student body should hold the right to promote college related content through the use of posters. It is the most effective way of communicating in a system which becomes saturated with emails and which consequently under represents.
