As a student body, we have gone far too long not knowing what is going on in Ma'ayanot. We miss the days when we knew what events, practices, and games were coming up, and when we were able to communicate our desires to find our lost Siddurim, binders, and phones. We yearn for a time when davening ended with a dance party advertising Model UN or some other exciting development. No longer can we continue to miss countless meetings and Mishmars, tryouts and team practices. The ignorance has become unbearable.
We have tried discussing this with the administration. We have tried defiantly making announcements on our own. We have exhausted every possible method, to no avail. This petition is our last attempt to bring back the announcements that once made up such an invaluable part of our mornings.
We, the undersigned, strongly advocate for the return of announcements, in order to create a more informed student body. We politely and firmly request that the administration hear our pleas and change that which must be changed.

Every morning at the conclusion of davening the students patiently wait in their seats for some type of direction or announcement. Day after day, students are disheartened, lost and confused with the lack of guidance. "Why did i sit down and blankly stare for those awkward 5 seconds?" Is a common thought trending between the early minutes of 8:33-8:37. Announcements are very clearly a crucial part of Maayanot students.
I miss the days when I could freely speak my mind, in announcement form. The Maayanot student body deserves the right to announce and to hear announcement! Acceptance of this petition will be victory for being informed and a victory for maayakind.
I am a senior at maayanot and I still have never made an announcement in my life! bring them back so i can fulfill my destiny before I'm gone!!!!!!!!!!
Announcements are awesome!! Even when they take forever and ou have to make a Rosh Chodesh schedule!!!!
Announcements make the morning exciting and wake us up for first period! We need them back!

As an alumnus of Maayanot I think announcements after davening are integral to the school spirit. Freshman and people who haven't really gotten involved in extra-curriculurs, won't know what kind of place Maayanot is, a place of Yachad, where extra-curriculers are not an after-thought, humor is a thing to cherish not to stifle, and life at Maayanot is fun. #sheismaayanot #sheisannouncements
