Dr. McKernan's leadership has been stellar! His knowledge of all areas of guiding a program (medical knowledge, knowledge of the health care delivery system, teaching) and dedication has made this a great program for training family physicians. This program has so much, great attendings and residents and wonderfully skilled staff: It is a huge economic and medical resource for Montgomery County. It would be wonderful to have him back at the helm.
Lone Star Family Health Center and the Family Practice Residency Program is what it is today mainly for his untiring efforts and dedication. I cannot fathom that he has been abruptly terminated. Is there any valid reason. Who is behind this. In the interest of the Family Practice Residency Program and the Community in general, we should approach the Board to reinstate him.
Dr. McKernan's is really needed back at Lone Star.
Wonderful person
He's a good man with a great heart and vision. He's the right guy. He always puts people first. He serves tirelessly and is happy to do it.

Lone Star would not be what it is today without Dr. MCKernan's tireless efforts to secure funding and establish standards and direction for the operation of the facility. He should be reinstated and those responsible for his departure should be replaced with people who recognize and reward administrators like Dr. McKernan
