Last year, Coach Roberts was hired as the Plano Lacrosse Association Program Director and Varsity Head Coach. Not only did he place an importance on the game of lacrosse, but even more importantly, he focused on a culture shift of promoting accountability, responsibility and discipline, all while uniting Plano Lacrosse as one FAMILY. These are values that the boys will carry with them long after their Plano Lacrosse careers are over. Additionally, he incorporated the first community service project which allowed the boys to give back to their community. This brought an awareness of Plano Lacrosse to others in our town that were not previously familiar with the organization. Under Coach Roberts' leadership, Plano had one of it's most successful seasons in its 25 year history advancing them to the state semifinals and setting them up for an equally or more successful upcoming year. It's come to our attention that Plano Lacrosse is not going to renew Coach Roberts' contract for the upcoming 2016-17 season. Let's do what's right for the boys and the future of Plano Lacrosse! Please sign this petition to let the board know we want to keep Coach Roberts!

Coach Roberts made a huge impression on my son Connor and myself. He is well rounded coach and brings a tremendous amount of talent and accountability to our organization.
Coach Roberts is the best thing to happen to Plano lacrosse and it would be a huge mistake to not bring him back for the 2016/2017 season. He has changed the culture and we are blessed to have him guide, lead, and coach our boys.
My son has had some really tough experiences in the past with football because he was expected to always carry the team due to his size and athletic ability. He lost hope and felt like a failure and never experienced his team having his back when all he believed in was having theirs...Lacrosse, last season, brought that hope and excitement back because it takes a TEAM to play lacrosse and when my son met Coach Robert's at a Sunday practice, his words to my son lifted him and filled him with encouragement and strength...all within 5 min of open, honest and raw conversation. Coach Robert's vision is what LaCrosse was built on...Honor, Integrity, Hard Work, Accountability and playing as a TEAM. Seems like some of the parents and kids with the issues against Coach Robert's had a major wake up call and they were introduced to what LaCrosse really is about after he arrived! I am thankful for Coach Robert's and he has my support and my son's as well. It would be devastating for our boys if we lost him. Please hang in there Coach! This TEAM has your back!

Our family thinks highly of Coach Roberts. My youngest really thinks he is a great coach and my oldest, who doesn't even play lax thinks he is really neat and says he is always nice to him.

We are moving in the right direction by retaining Coach Roberts. It takes time to change a culture. Fine turning is always a constant. Coach Roberts has done more postives for PLA than any over coach over the past 7 years. Could somethings been handled better, possibly. But I don't know of any negatives of any major consequence. We are all human
