Lyndon Station Elementary is the heart of our community! We request that Mauston School District bring back 4th grade for the 2016-17 school year and bring back 5th grade the following 2017-18 school year. Many families have moved to Lyndon Station because we had a K-5 elementary school that has above average test scores and their children could attend for an extended period of time. The more classes we lose the more families we will lose which will in turn have a negative effect on our entire community's well being and economy. Please help bring back our 4th and 5th grade to Lyndon Station Elementary - our Little School with a Big Heart.

As a parent and former 5th grade teacher in this school, I know what an amazing little school Lyndon Station Elementary is. Students grow, excel, and succeed in this community learning environment. The older students are exceptional role models and leaders for their younger peers. Bring the 4th and 5th grades back to this school!

I petition to bring 4th and 5th grades back to Lyndon Station Elementary. The reason our family moved to Lyndon Station instead of staying in Wisconsin Dells was because of this wonderful school.

I know from experience how hard it is on a small town, village , etc when downsizing a school. The district needs the tax dollars from people moving into it not out. Also the town needs them to survive. As long as the facility is open, utilize it to it's full potential. If it moved them because of overcrowding, that is a whole new subject!

Studies have shown parents stay more involved at the 4th and 5th grade levels when those grade levels are in the same school as younger aged siblings in k-3. The impact on families, taxes, community involvement is too tool are too large to too large to be ignored. My two cents.

My time at the Lyndon school was wonderful. I would hate for this opportunity to not be available for future Lyndon children. Once I went to Mauston I just became one of many children. In Lyndon I was able to get personal attention that I just didn't get at the larger school.
