The Garage Door Saloon has ended this hateful event and Corona has finally cut ties with them. Seeing 151 people take a stand against this racism proves that we do not have to accept bigotry in our neighborhood. I am staying vigilant to ensure that these types of events never …
By signing the following petition, I endorse the following statements:
1. I am entirely ethically opposed to the concept of âWetback Wednesdayâ (or any variation of this theme by another name) on the grounds that it is racist and promotes both racial bias and sentiment.
2. I hold responsible the business establishment that promotes this event, and related events, namely Garage Door Saloon. I also hold responsible any parties directly affiliated with this event from the point in time that such parties became aware of these events.
3. I hereby intend to cease any direct business with both Garage Door Saloon and Grupo Modelo/Corona Division until adequate action is taken to terminate this event.
4. I expect the Grupo Modelo/Corona Division to respond to my dissatisfaction regarding their knowledge of these events. I expect that this response will include:
1. Public apology with acknowledgement of the racist nature and thus extremely distasteful theme inherent to âWetback Wednesdayâ and related events.
2. If Grupo Modelo was unaware of the âWetback Wednesdayâ event and the related advertising which directly displays the Corona brand, I expect that they will remove their products from Garage Door Saloon on the basis of inappropriate damage to the character and reputation of the Corona brand.
5. If Grupo Modelo knowingly endorsed the event and/or refuses to respond as requested above (#4), I will no longer purchase or consume products of Grupo Modelo and I will not invest in the public trade of stock for this company.
6. I will not be a customer at the Garage Door Saloon until they respond with public apology including acknowledgement of the racist nature and thus extremely distasteful and harmful theme inherent to âWetback Wednesdayâ and related events.
The silence from the corporate offices after my repeated inquiries is telling. I am currently reaching out to distributors to make sure they understand exactly what kind of behavior is attached to the brand they profit from.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one disgusted by the racism being promoted at this establishment. We have built enough momentum now to force a real conversation with the people who allowed this to happen.
