Following the tremendous success of our inaugural installation by Nonsti Mutiti,STABLE is applying for a public art grant from the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities to commission Kimchi Juice to be our second #BOXWALLPOTS artist.
The mural is inspired by the artist’s Asian heritage and is a celebration of Asian joy. Throughout
her career, the artist has utilized public art as a medium to celebrate diversity and
underrepresented communities. After a year of unrest and rising anti Asian sentiment, the artist
has channeled the space she has carved out for herself in street art into a celebration of
ancestry and heritage.
