#BOXWALLPOTS
Following the tremendous success of our inaugural installation by Nonsti Mutiti,STABLE is applying for a public art grant from the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities to commission Kimchi Juice to be our second #BOXWALLPOTS artist.
The mural is inspired by the artist’s Asian heritage and is a celebration of Asian joy. Throughout
her career, the artist has utilized public art as a medium to celebrate diversity and
underrepresented communities. After a year of unrest and rising anti Asian sentiment, the artist
has channeled the space she has carved out for herself in street art into a celebration of
ancestry and heritage.

THE ENERGY AROUND THIS PROJECT IS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC RIGHT NOW!! WE HAVE BEEN IN DEEP CONVERSATIONS WITH THE GRANT COMMITTEE TO SHOW THEM EXACTLY WHY KIMCHI JUICE NEEDS TO BRING THIS VISION TO LIFE!! STAY TUNED BECAUSE THIS CELEBRATION OF ASIAN JOY IS GOING TO BE MASSIVE!!

Such a cool idea! DC really needs more art like this everywhere. Fingers crossed it gets the funding.
This work is beautiful and the artist is incredibly talented. The STABLE community will be incredible stewards of this project.
