Hello,

I'm applying for an art grant to bring a concept of mine to Good Hope Road SE. Tiny Health Museum (THM) is a community center that focuses on fusing art with important health topics that range from nutrition to mental health. Local professionals and artists will come together to explore creative ways to educate visitors and fulfill our goal of teaching members preventative health measures around chronic disease and illnesses that plague our community.

We are turning local professionals into artists and artists into educators. Imagine our photographers exploring topics such as diabetes and food apartheid in Ward 7 and Ward 8, while a nutritionist works with a painter to elaborate the look of vibrancy and importance of a healthy diet. THM will have hands on experiences from healthcare workers and historians that will leave lasting knowledge for all visitors… and it can be a cool meeting point for a run club and other wellness activities in SE. I envision THM to be an art, health and wellness hub with rotating arts and topics quarterly.

Can I have your support in bringing this museum to Ward 7 and Ward 8? If so, please click the link below to sign my petition. The deadline for the grant is July 15th and showing community support is a critical element. I look forward to seeing your signature.

Thank you.

The feedback from local artists has been incredible. Conversations about how we bridge the gap between wellness and creativity are happening daily.

I fully support this incredibly important idea. Fusing art in this way will help to break down barriers and stigmas that are associated with health issues. This will help build trust and collaboration within the community to promote public health!
