I am currently organizing all the residence comments to present directly to city hall later this month. Text three neighbors today and ask them to sign because the city needs to see how many local residents back Joe Rother. Keep the pressure up until we get a formal response.

I love taking lessons from Joe Rother. If he becomes the Boerne director of tennis, I would find time to take a lot more lessons with him! I live in Boerne (78006) and can ride a bicycle to the courts. How perfect would that be.
My children (and I) have learned so much from Joe! He is such a great motivator and encourager. The people who have been lucky enough to have him instruct them know what I am talking about:) He would be such an asset to the city of Boerne in so many ways. His vision for what the Boerne tennis center could be is awesome. The ideas and classes/ clinics he would provide are top notch. Boerne would benefit on so many levels.
After moving here 3.5 years ago I was surprised to see such beautiful courts that were being utilized way below their potential. Having a charismatic, responsible, and motivating professional out at the courts that would drive a Boerne tennis program into a positive direction of growth would be a major asset for Boerne residents both young and old alike.
10527 Campo Viejo Boerne, TX - Coach Joe is one of the best coaches and leaders that I have ever met. He cares about his students and helps them perform their best, whether that is recreational tennis or competitive. Our community deserves choices and Coach Joe should be one of those.
Boerne, 78015. Coach Joe is an asset to the community that should not be wasted. His coaching benefits kids not only on the courts, but out there in "real life" too.
I am 38 years old and grew up in Boerne, TX. I graduated high school in 1996. Back then, I was the ONLY kid who played tennis competitively in Boerne, and was often ridiculed by the football coaches for NOT playing football because of my commitment to tennis. I am pleased to see that tennis is where it is today in Boerne, but there is much room for improvement. I was a Division I scholarship tennis player, and I grew up playing in the San Antonio tennis scene from a very young age, and to this day I know just about everyone in the local tennis community. I am still involved in the sport as a Top Texas Ranked 30+ age division, as well as being ranked nationally. I was a top ranked junior in my day, and I have known Joe Rother from the time I was very young. I knew Joe when he was a coach at McKinnleys Gold at the Dominion (20-25 years ago) where I trained, which was THE junior program in San Antonio. Before that, I knew Joe from being the young guy that sat behind the counter at McFarlin Tennis Center and filled up your water jug during junior tennis tournaments. Joe has lived and breathed tennis in this community for many years. When Joe’s son Jake was in High School and college, I used to hit with him as well, and he is a top-notch kid, both on the tennis court and his character. Joe has been a big part of the local tennis community for many, many years, and I consistently hear very positive things about his influence with the sport and his coaching abilities. You could not go out and find a better candidate to head up a Junior program in Boerne, and I was thrilled to hear that he was doing so. Especially now that I have 2 boys of my own that are 5 & 7 whom I would like to see play tennis. Boerne needs a guy like Joe Rother to promote the sport of tennis to our juniors, and it would be a shame to let him go somewhere else when Boerne is where he wants to be. -Travis Wagner, 210-323-1346, [email protected] Fair Oaks Ranch
Why would Boerne not want Joe Rother to be a part of their community? He's the best tennis coach and an all round fabulous person who serves as a great mentor to all young people.

Fair Oaks Ranch. Joe took in a struggling Champ and in a matter of months had him Supered and nationally ranked.
