We, the residents and visitors of Big Oak Bay Rd. do hereby request that the speed limit on CR229 Big Oak Bay Rd., be reevaluated and adjusted to 45 MPH.
There is no part of this road which should be considered a residential subdivision or a school zone. This county road does not have children playing near it, nor is it a congested area. The 30 MPH speed limit is unnecessarily restrictive and does not represent the speed at which this road should be traveled under normal conditions. We respectfully request a reevaluation and new speed limit signs for 45 MPH to be posted immediately.

Fix this now. It is a straight road with zero traffic. Ridiculous.
Finally someone said it. That limit is a complete joke and just a speed trap for anyone trying to get home after work.

It is not a neighborhood road so stop treating it like one. Let us drive a normal speed.
agree 100%. everyone goes way faster anyway because 30 just makes no sense on that stretch of road.

slowest road in the county for no reason at all. waste of my gas to sit in second gear the whole way.
