Last night BLGNA decided that they were not going to allow girls turning 7 in the year of competition to play. Netball SA have stated that they will allow players aged 6 and 7 to play but BLGNA have not employed this decision. The girls have already registered, started training and bought uniforms and are now being told they cannot play. My daughter has played organised netball since she was 5 and also done NetSetGo for 2 years and was so excited to be able to play with BLGNA this year. Other associations are allowing 6 and 7 year olds to play but we have now missed registrations and the opportunity to play anywhere else as teams have been finalised. This decision has significantly affect the opportunity for my daughter to play as the girls she was playing with (some younger than her)have all joined clubs at either Golden Grove or Adelaide Metro and this is no longer an option. This may not affect your club, your child or someone you know this year but it may in the future. Please sign this petition for me to attach to a letter I will be sending to the association ASAP. Thanks
