Strongly feel that girls should be able to play at 6 or 7 years of age

this is ridiculous. Of course 7 yr olds should be allowed to play when turning the age in that year and before start of season too!

I think most certainly kids of a young age should be allowed to play. If I remember correctly me and my sister were under the age of 5 when we first started back in the day at South. You can't deny a child to want to play sport. I think a reasonable age is 5.

All of my children played netball from aged 5 and loved the team spirit

Former 15+ year player for Tanunda Netball Club. Moved to Adelaide and now my 7 year old daughter (born 2009) is playing in the SADNA Winter Competition for North East Zodiacs Netball Club. Not fair that other children the same age can't play for their chosen club!!

I played netball from the age of 5, 7 is old enough to play in the league for sure! The earlier you start, the greater the chance of progressing to elite level!

Why not? We should be encouraging them not discouraging them... as long as they turn 7 in that calendar year... what harm is it causing. As long as they are playing kids of the same age... let them play!

Absolutely ridiculous decision made too late. Why stop some passionate little kids from being active and learning about the sport they love especially when they have already played for a few years!

If they are capable, let them play!
