Some parents have expressed their concern about the level of security in place when entering the school reception area. Although reception is manned by staff, this is erratic or there are so many people going in and out that it is not always easy to monitor traffic properly. Some parents have also mentioned that family members and friends have been able to pick up children without many questions being asked. The new signing out book and the security guy is a step in the right direction but anyone in essence could sign it.

There needs to be some electronic system in place whether this is with a swipe code, card or fingerprint that means only authorised people can enter the school. Can the main school doors not remain locked during the day? Staff and parents who need to enter the school during the day could enter by code/swipe card or even by ringing a bell.

An additional safety device for the door into Pre-school would also be great. Not only does this serve to stop people entering but it also prevents the little children getting out!

Although Slovenia is a safe country we are an international community and it is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to our children's safety.
