The parents of Eastcote Academy, Eastcote Road, Welling DA16 2SA, would like to raise the issue of the fence that seperates the school playground and Oxleas Woods.

We have raised concerns that the back fence is not safe enough and now where security is of utmost importance because of the acts that are happening around our everyday lives we want these concerns dealt with. The fence is not safe, it needs Updating, an outsider can see and talk to our children and even more worrying the fence is of height where anyone if they tried could climb over and get into the playground gaining complete access to our children.

We as parents would like the whole back fence changed and made more safer.

Updates

June 4, 2017

The feedback from other parents confirms that this is not just about a fence but about the fundamental peace of mind we deserve when our children are at school. I am currently organizing these concerns to ensure they are presented clearly to the administration. We are committed to seeing this through until our surroundings are properly secured.

Seeing this conversation grow confirms how shared our concern for the safety of these grounds truly is. This momentum signals that the security of our children is a priority we all hold in common. I am reflecting on the weight of these signatures as we prepare to bring our collective message to the school administration.

the safety of the pupils and staff at Eastcote Academy should be absolute paramount not something parents should be 'campaigning' for - this issue should be dealt with between the local council and the school - feel sad that I'm having to sign a petition for it!

This fence is not safe enough to protect our children, it needs to be addressed.

This should NOT be an issue! Parents should not be raising this point or signing petitions - the local council and the school should be ensuring the children's safety, aswell as the staff by securing the school grounds

I walk my dog everyday along the fence of the school and it's so easy if anyone wanted to get in. it worries me as a parent everyday and think it is so important for our children's safety to replace the fence
