Better Road Safety For HBN, Hillside and Surrounding Residential Area
This Petition been set up regarding the lack of road safety measures in the area at the moment. When you enter Willaston you are met with a speed hump and a 20mph speed limited, yet despite there being a small estate and this area being mostly residential, having a the local park, a brand new primary school, Kensington Health Clinic and Community Services all on a main road with 1 or 2 crossings. I truly believe that unless something is done NOW then someone will be seriously hurt or worse.

The local council cannot keep ignoring the danger on our streets now that this momentum is undeniable. We are proving that the safety of our children and residents matters more than their pathetic excuses for inaction.

My son got run over by a car 2 months ago outside my home at hillside avenue . The speed that some cars do berebis very scary and with growing numbers of children moving here they and the parents should feel safe . My son was lucky it wasn't very serious but he had to go to a and e to be seen to and still has pain in his elbow no and again after that .
We need to slow down the traffic on Westmoreland Road, Douglas. Parking restrictions need to be put in place and adhered to. Two weeks ago we lost our cat due to a speeding driver. A year ago it was nearly my son. Thankfully the driver had good brakes but he still hit him. This is a residential area with a children's play area, primary school, local shop and businesses, health care centre. Before someone is killed please slow down the traffic.

Our cat was killed by a speeding driver in hillside, it could of been a child.

We really need speed bumps on Hillside Avenue and Hillside terrace! Cars go so fast up and down it is a joke! Something needs to be done asap before that site at microgaming is finished and gets 100 times worse m!
