We as the Water Crest Neighborhood community want to Petition the HOA hired by DR Horton, First Service Residential, to use money allotted for the pool in a different way than it is currently being used. Currently money is allotted for life guards, last season we had no life guards and swam at our own risk. This money could better be used to heat the lap pool and have year round access to the lap pool for exercise purposes. Also we would like the season of use for the pool to be extended. We would like access to both pools from March 1st till October 31st on all days of the week except for Mondays that are closed for cleanings. We would also like the hours to be extended from 6am to 10pm for those people who want to use the pool outside of the heat of the day during the summer and or to exercise before it gets to crowded. There are plenty of people in the neighborhood that are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves appropriate weather and times for swimming.

One hundred people have signed and First Service Residential still thinks they can ignore us. We are tired of paying for lifeguards who were never there while the pool sits empty and cold most of the year. It is time for DR Horton and their management team to stop wasting our money and give us the access we deserve.

I know the insurance liability is higher without lifeguards but without lifeguards there is more money to pay the increase in premiums. Surely there is a way we can manage this.
I already submitted this request through email with no response from HOA. Hopefully this time with all the signatures they will listen.
There is a lot of kidless families in the community. Is not fair we can’t use the pool we are paying for because of requirements that don’t even apply to us.
This Wyoming/Montana girl would love to use the pool yr round .... one of the many reasons we moved to Tx was for the warmer climate. It wouldn’t cost more per year as The pool is running yr round anyway !!
I agree 100%. Lifeguards are not neccessary. Pool opening shouldn't be dependent on school schedule. Plenty of people other than children would like use of the pool for excercise and relaxation. Extended season and hours, no lifeguards, should at least be given a try. If problems arise, then re-evaluate. We pay a lot of money for amenities, yet are given very limited access.
I am shocked this part of the HOA is not handled "by the people" We need to petition control for ALL amenities. YES

I agree. I would also like to see about aqua therapy twice a week. Being handicapped, this would be very beneficial for people of all ages. Thank you.
