Hello fellow Baldwin Emc Members. Please sign this petition if you would like to see Net Metering offered as an option for keeping your electricity costs down. What is "Net Metering"? Net Metering allows customers to invest in solar electric panels as well as wind and other types of clean renewable energy and be less dependent on power from our power company and put the power you produce into the electrical grid. As it stands right now Alabama is one of only six states that do not have net metering laws in place and to make matters even worse Baldwin Emc actually punishes customers who want to invest in these technologies by charging them an outrageous price for electric service, so much that it would cost you between $100 and $300 to do a load of laundry, in other words don't you dare try to produce clean renewable energy. Lets change this policy to a fair net metering policy please sign this petition and help all of us become less dependent on fossil fuels. Thank You all.
