As home owners of Hanover Pointe, its important that our participation in an HOA not limit our energy choices now or in the future. Choices for clean, green energy is available to our community but, our HOA specifically denies the right of home owners to choose to go solar.

We, the undersigned and home owners at Hanover Point, recognize and support the rights and desires of our neighbors to choose roof-top mounted solar panels. Our current HOA specifically denies the right of home owners to choose solar panels in its Declaration of Rules and Regulations, the wording of which can only be changed by having 69% of the households in agreement.
Per section 14 (b) of the Rules and Regulations: "Television, stereo and radio volume shall be lowered after 11:00 p.m. No short wave radio transmitters shall be permitted to be operated in the community without special permission of the Board of Directors. Solar Panels are not permitted."
Per section 16.01 (BB) of the Declaration: "No solar heating panels or similar installation will be permitted on any Unit."
By signing this petition, we, the home owners of Hanover Pointe, request the Board to specifically remove any such language that denies permission to choose solar panels, solar heating panels or similar installations in the Declaration of Rules and Regulations, and affirms our vote to allow these specific changes that permit home owners at Hanover Pointe to mount solar panels on their individual units as they see fit.

As an owner I believe it's our right to do whatever we want on our property. Therefore, I agree to add solar panels.

Yes, I support being able to install and use solar panels. I have never liked all the rules and regulations of the HOA. Whatever happened to the freedom of being a homeowner in America? I know some will disagree, but that's all right. Once again, that's the beauty of living in this great country--we're allowed to have differing opinions.
