When BC implemented the Security Licensing Act, everyone in the industry recognized it for the cash grab it was. Starting at $120 for a new license, and $60 for a renewal, anyone renewing late (post license expiry) must pay the new licensing fees, even though they are renewing. They don't have to submit the new license form, they merely have to pay the licensing fee for it. This is unfair, especially considering the number of licensees who make such low wages in the field in the first place - $60 for many is an entire day's wages. I have the government's ear, but I need your voices to make it clear I'm not the only one speaking here.
