Blue croos/Blue Shield in response to the new Federal Insurance laws has raised rates on copays for physician visits, drugs, and monthly premiums. Blue Cross/Blue shield was a contributor to the campaign of every Alabama politician who supported or was opposed to the new insurance laws. Other states have been able to defeat such rate increases by petition and litigation. The state, county, and local government employees will not be affected by this increase.
