This Petition is purposed to bring attention to the BCBS organization that its insurance members wish to continue care with Axis HealthCare.

As of August 16th, 2016 BCBS will not be renewing Axis Healthcare’s Provider contract. The reason stated for not renewing the contract is simply, “because we reserve the right to not renew.” Axis HealthCare has not been given any other reason from BCBS other than they reserve the right.

This decision by BCBS hurts its insurance members in many ways: BCBS members have built trusting relationships with our Providers and staff that will now only be available at out-of-network visits. It’s very difficult to find a Provider to trust with your health, and these patients are being forced to start all over again with someone new. Another reason this hurts its members is that Axis HealthCare is currently taking new patients and may be the only Provider in town doing so. These patients are going to have to drive further out to look for a new Provider. Axis HealthCare also offers services that other clinics don’t, including: Foot care, Pain Management on a family practice level, AVS testing, PFT testing, x-Ray, Psychiatry, Walk-in care, and many more.

This decision by BCBS only hurts its members. These members are paying premiums to receive the best possible care and BCBS is taking the decision away from its members on where they receive their care.

The members that sign this list are in agreement that Axis HealthCare is a valuable asset to them, their family, and their community. They wish BCBS to reinstate the Provider contract with Axis HealthCare immediately.

NOTICE: Petition can only be signed if you are a BCBS member. If you have a child, under the age of 18, then you may sign in place of that member.
