Currently in battery park city, we have a separate contract that's supports the contracting of security for the neighborhood. This was a good plan 25 years ago, but it has now become a very expensive contract (range of $2million+). The unit has also been labeled as the Green Nazis and have been harassing the local residents. The show of power and force for a security guard has become out of control. The PEP officers are on record of making sexual advances to a 14 year old girl for 2 years, and when she walked away, the PEP officers would demand the girl to show ID. This is a very dangerous group that needs to be dismantled for the safety of the residents of battery park city .
