We the undersigned are residents of East Fifth Street and request that film permits and film related activity and film related vehicles be permanently banned from East Fifth Street between 2nd Avenue and Cooper Square.
We ask this due to the high volume of films that make our block their home throughout the year;
-Creating difficulties for the two buildings housing people with disabilities
-Creating unhealthy fumes for residents due to idling trucks and generators
-Creating a noisy atmosphere and interrupting sleep of residents
-Creating loss of uncompensated parking for residents
-Causing damage to trees on the block
It is for these reasons that we urge a permanent ban on Film Permits on East Fifth Street between 2nd Avenue and Cooper Square.
