Clone manufacturers, better described as counterfeiters, hurt the entire vaping community. Sign this petition and tell ECC that welcoming counterfeit vape manufacturers encourages their unethical and illegal Trademark infringement, rewards them for taking money away from hard working, innovative mod and atty designers, and effectively shows approval for the unsafe products they are flooding onto the vape market (most recently a cloned Mutant turned into a pipe bomb after suffering a critical failure and exploding in a crowd of people at Vape Blast. Providing more ammunition to regulate or ban vaping hurts all of us, but clone manufacturers have no interest in our community, their interest begins and ends with their profits.

Their counterfeit products hurt our entire community. They discourage innovation and stifle new products by taking profits away from those who would take the time to develop and test high quality vaping products. Why create something new when you know your design will be stolen and counterfeit products will be released almost immediately?

We may not be able to stop cloning entirely, but that doesn't mean we should allow them to flaunt their illegal, unethical, and unsafe behavior at an event designed to celebrate and showcase the best of the vaping community.

For myself, I carry clones in my store because it is what my customers can afford. The authentic items are wonderful and most wish very much to have one some day, however, for the average vapor they are out of their price range. Allowing clones offers more affordable option while not diminishing the quality and reputation of the authentic MODS. If anything, it is great advertising. There are many authentic products I would have not ever known existed had I not seen the clone advertised. In addition to their cost many authentic Items are in very short supply and nearly impossible to get so again..the clones are an important alternative.

Despite the fact that the mod being a clone had nothing to do with the incident, they are always going to highlight that part and try to make it out that only clones will blow up if you are stupid with them and modify them to work in ways that they should not. Some people are just stupid this way...

You say clones are hurting "OUR" community, its not hurting my community, and ive been part of it for 3 years! People judging other people are hurting it more!

Clones ARE part of the vaping community, most vapers start out on a clone. You're just sub dividing the community making it weaker at a time it needs to be stronger. Educate people on the pitfalls and dangers rather than judging them for what they use to stay smoke free! Stop being elitests and remember why we all Vape!

I'm confused.. so you mean, Vaping isn't just about quitting smoking anymore? hmm and again.. the quest for the mighty dollar prevails!

It wasn't a shitty battery. From what I saw, he was using a Sony 26650. He modded the switch which is what caused the failure.

Or you can plan your own event for clones only. Where you kick 10 year old Chinese children in the ribs and go ha look we're doing him a favor because at least he didn't lose his fingers making my piece of crap counterfeit mod. Who do you think operates the machines for your clones?
