How about we talk about what kind of battery they person was using instead of the fact that it was a clone. The thing that took place at vape blast could have happened with an Authentic with the wrong battery. Also you left out the fact that the user modified the switch himself.

FUCK all the eletist faggot hipsters. A tube is a tube is a tube. Not very hard to put a piece of raw stock in a cnc and make a mod. Lets see. Have a box full of pre-cut material 1.) Push it over to cnc machine 2.) open plexiglass door place in a couple blocks of metal (that was purchased for a couple bucks each) 3.) close door, push button (wait for a minute) 4.) open door take mods out and place in an empty box {repeat until the box of raw stock is empty} 5.) push box of of cnc'd tubes over to the buffer and spend a couple minutes each buffing and polishing them and stack them in a row. right by the engraving machine... 6.) place them in the engraving machine machine and push a button place them in a row to your side {repeat until all are complete} 7.) slide your chair over and spend a minute to assemble them and slap a $200+ price tag on them. Hey they were assembled in the USA so they are now worth 10x what a clone cost. After all it is a made in US mod made with stainless steel purchased from china. or a mod machined in china and shipped to and assembled in the US.

For myself, I carry clones in my store because it is what my customers can afford. The authentic items are wonderful and most wish very much to have one some day, however, for the average vapor they are out of their price range. Allowing clones offers more affordable option while not diminishing the quality and reputation of the authentic MODS. If anything, it is great advertising. There are many authentic products I would have not ever known existed had I not seen the clone advertised. In addition to their cost many authentic Items are in very short supply and nearly impossible to get so again..the clones are an important alternative.

Clones ARE part of the vaping community, most vapers start out on a clone. You're just sub dividing the community making it weaker at a time it needs to be stronger. Educate people on the pitfalls and dangers rather than judging them for what they use to stay smoke free! Stop being elitests and remember why we all Vape!

Despite the fact that the mod being a clone had nothing to do with the incident, they are always going to highlight that part and try to make it out that only clones will blow up if you are stupid with them and modify them to work in ways that they should not. Some people are just stupid this way...

The issue at hand is battery safety. Some of you vendors and friends of these folks are pushing mech mods & drippers on new vapers without giving them any more info than telling them to watch a freaking video by A,B,C,to learn how to wrap a coil. There needs to be a gradual progression to get from step A to step Z for vapers to be fully informed about all of their gear. Batteries are the most unpredictable and the most important topic we should be schooling new or poorly informed vapers on period! We have an obligation as veteran vapers to stop the misinformation where ever we see it even when it is unpopular. As far as China goes? Clones have have made vaping available to the masses many of us started out with eGo's they weren't made in the US. Modders with a good business plan would have made allowances for their devices to be cloned. Many of the "authentic mods" from some countries are in fact being made in Chinese factories. Those that make mods in the USA have a responsibility to do it safely by carrying liability insurance. How many actually do that? C.B.
