We hear news about how bad vaping is, and how it affects teenagers. We hear a lot of vaping incidents at school from our kids, and we try our best to keep our kids away from vaping. Having a vaping store right across from a high school doesn't sound right.
Close to Teel and Stonebrook intersection, we have multiple schools
- Reedy's High School
- Pearson Middle School
And not too far away are the Pioneer Heritage Middle School and Leadership Prep School

It is not appropriate for a vape store to be in such close proximity to a middle and high school. Many teens hang out in that shopping center before and after school. Frisco should do the right thing for our kids and not have this consistently marketed to them.
We have been told for years about the vaping concerns at Reedy, along with it getting the nickname “Weedy Reedy”. Why do we want to have a store that would only encourage this behavior? There are plenty of other locations across the city. It seems this was an intentional placement…
We live right near this intersection and my kids school is down the street (LCA). Way too close for comfort and completely inappropriate of the landlords to not consider the young, curious and impressionable minds, to make a dollar. It's heartbreaking and tacky.
The more the support the better. I’m planning to go to the city this week. I’m hoping the city will update the zoning ordinance so that a vaping or alcohol or cigarette stores doesn’t come close to a school. Not just Reedy’s but any other school in Frisco.
Strongly oppose this. Vaping store across a high school is like offering poison disguised. This is not what Frisco is all about. Please protect this young generation by banning this store. Such a shame that this location was approved.
Across from a high school We might as well fire the zoning person that okay this He’s obviously NOT doing his job !
Please DO NOT allow a vape shop to be opened directly across the street from our middle school and high school. I thought Frisco was better than this!

This is not the type of business that should be operated in such close proximity to the schools. Lot of students come to the donuts shop right next door and this could open up unwanted distractions and put students on the wrong path.
