The condition of Ballan Road in Wyndam Vale is extremely poor. It resembles a patch work quilt, with patch up repairs only being carried out. The area from Bolton Road out to a quarry located approximately 6 kilometers out is particularly bad. There is a bend between Wyndham CFA Station and Brockwell Crescent which has severe undulations, and it is only a matter of time before a truck (of which there is an enormous number using this road) or a car looses control due to the uneven surface, and veers into oncoming traffic. There was a bad accident there recently, when a vehicle left the road and ran through a culvert, through a roadside fence, but fortunately there were no casualties. Recently there have been roadworks to allow a pipeline or main of some description to be laid. This has resulted in the verge being left in a very unsatisfactory condition, and the intersections of Brockwell Cres and Kinglake Drive being are particularly dangerous. This is more evident for vehicle turning left into Brockwell Cres when coming out from Werribee. numerous vehicles have been affected by way of wheel alignment being put out of specifications by these shocking surfaces. something must be done NOW.
