THANK YOU -- to everyone who signed our petition. The school has agreed to defer an additional class until 2014. You can see their letter here:

Balgowan Parents for Consultation thank the Governors for providing an opportunity for further analysis and discussion around the pros and cons of a bulge class before going ahead with any additional class. We remain committed to open and constructive communication and consultation between the school and all those with an interest in it.
We the undersigned ask the Governing Body of Balgowan School to:
Immediately retract their offer to take a bulge class in September 2013
Hold a full consultation of parents, staff, pupils, prospective parents and the local community before any expansion of the school takes place.
Please remember if you are in a couple you should both sign as individuals.
NOTE: any request for funds is from the site operator and not part of the Balgowan campaign. You can sign the petition and just ignore if this comes up at the end.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way so many of you have stepped up to support this. None of this growth would have happened without the time you all took to look at this issue and decide it was worth your energy.

Good work everyone. We all deserve a proper say in how things are run around here.
This school is amazing and we dont want to see it ruined by overcrowding. Listen to the people who actually use the school!!
Ridiculous that it took this much effort to get them to just talk to us. Keep it up.
About time they listened to us. Schools need an infrastructure to match the intake. Glad this is on hold for now.
Finally some sense. The school is already bursting at the seams and the kids deserve better facilities not just more bodies in the playground.

So much stress for nothing. Hope they actually look at the facts before just trying to cram more kids in next year.
