Stop them from taking our school away from our children. Protect our children's future.

TUDOR GRANGE ACADEMY are proposing changes to their admissions policy which will result in children within the catchment area NOT being offered a place. From 2014 up to 130 places (over half of their allocated places) will be automatically offered to children attending St James or St Alphege, both Faith schools, in preference to children within the catchment area. The remaining places will be allocated in order of priority to;

1 - Children in the catchment area

2 - Children with siblings at the school

3 - Children closest to Tudor Grange but outside the catchment area.

This means that being in the catchment area no longer guarantees your child a place. This has been done very discreetly - just a page on their website!

This change of policy will also impact other schools within the borough. Where are the rest of the catchment children going to go? It could also impact house prices within the Tudor Grange catchment area as this has always been a selling point to potential buyers.

Have your say and please join our petition.

In addition, please email your thoughts to Tudor Grange so they can be 'considered' in their consultation process. The email address is: [email protected]

All responses need to be received by Thursday 28th February.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

We are approaching one thousand signatures and this momentum sends a clear message to the administration that they cannot ignore our families. Please take a moment to tag three neighbors in your posts today to ensure our local community holds its rightful place at this school.

I have been reading the stories from families who bought homes here specifically for this school and now feel like the rug has been pulled out from under them. It is clear that we are all feeling the same anxiety about where our kids will end up next year. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to ensure they understand this policy change cannot happen in the dark.

One hundred signatures proves I am not alone in fearing for our children's futures at this school. It is heartening to see our neighbors rally so quickly to hold the academy accountable for these changes.

DISGRACE. The school is meant for the community. Stop playing games with our kids future.

Absolutely gutted. How can they just push our kids aside for out of area students? Solihull council needs to sort this out now.

This is rediculous. We bought our house specifically for this catchment and now they just change the rules? My son deserves a place at his local school.

Completely unfair to local families. They should be prioritizing the kids living right on their doorstep.
