This petition aims to underscore community backing for the establishment of the Baha'i House of Manningham, a Not-for-Profit Community House located at 232 Foote Street, Templestowe, Victoria, Australia. We are currently seeking approval to designate a single residence as a place of meeting. A town planning permit application has been submitted to the Manningham City Council for assessment and approval.
I spent the entire morning drafting responses to the questions council sent over regarding the house on Foote Street and I honestly hope the clarity helps move things along because it has been so quiet on their end lately. It is funny how a simple idea about a community meeting space can get so tied up in paperwork but reading through the supportive comments here really keeps me grounded when the process feels like moving through molasses.

As a non Baha'i, I am in full support of this Baha'i house. This is a place of worship that plays a vital role in creating unity in Manningham and surrounds. This Baha'i house has been welcoming to me as a non Baha'i and somewhere I can go to for spiritual healing.

I strongly support the application for town planning for the Manningham Baha'i House. This place will be a crucial part of Baha'i education classes. All children are expected to see each other every week to enjoy their social and spiritual development in a safe and well-supervised environment.

I am a Bahai and a resident of Manningham. I fully support the establishment of the Bahai House of Manningham as a place of meeting. This community house will directly contribute to Council priorities by fostering a healthy, inclusive, and connected community. It will provide a welcoming space for youth, families, and seniors to engage in positive, educational, and uplifting activities. As a not-for-profit initiative, it strengthens social cohesion and enhances liveable spaces in our municipality. I respectfully urge the Council to support this permit application.

My family, my extended family, and I fully support the opening of this wonderful center - meeting place for the youth and children of the Manningham community. This center will serve as a beacon of light, providing essential empowerment programs that will uplift and benefit not only the children and youth but the entire Manningham community.
We strongly believe in the positive impact this location and initiative will have and urge our local government to support it in expeditiously.

I have lived in East Doncaster for a number of years and have a strong desire to see more community building initiatives taking place. The Manningham Bahá’í house has served as an important hub for these types of initiatives in the past and we hope that it will do so again, well into the future.

I am a Baha'i from Park Orchards and an Assistant Director working in a Federal Government Agency. The Baha'is are not just another interest or lobby group that have their own selfish agenda.
They are a non-profit, outwardly focused organisation and community, who at the grass-roots are engaged with their local community and striving to work with individuals, communities and government to make a positive contribution to Australian society.
Their mandate is to build a world that is "mature, peaceful, just and unified."
