The council is still pushing for more water extraction despite the clear damage to the Awahou river. Send an email to your local representatives today to remind them this resource belongs to the community. We need to keep the pressure on until they drop this application for good.

Seriously? Another project that puts profits over the environment. Do better RDC. We deserve to have our natural resources protected for our kids.
Awahou is so special to my family. Leave the water where it belongs.
Keep our water clean. The springs are tapu and the council needs to stop digging their heels in and listen for once.
The river level is way lower than it used to be. You can see it clear as day. Shame on them for ignoring the reports.
STOP THE EXTRACTION. Its our lifeline and our history. We arent letting this happen.

Used to swim here when I was a kid. It breaks my heart to see what its becoming. Leave the river alone.
