As a family holiday destination I find it baffling that Aviemore doesn't have a skate park and jump park. Hopefully this will be amended soon.
It will be great for the kids as not a lot for them to do if you don't play shinty!
id love a new park to be built in aviemore- i currently have to travel a 60 mile round trip to inverness and back which isn't ideal. this would be great for the community young and old. gets you out and active, opportunity to self improve and have a better social life!
My son is always bored and just hangs around the high street. A skatepark would give him somewhere to actually go.
Used to spend every summer at the chevvys ramp. Total shame nothing replaced it. Aviemore needs this back for the local lads.
Give the kids something for a change.

The Skate ramp next to Chevys was a real hub for board sports enthusiasts. I came to Aviemore to learn how to snowboard with the Guys from Boardwise 25 years ago and I can’t believe it has gone. I came back this week (Aug 2020) expecting there to be something as good if not better to have replaced it and was shocked to see a car park in its place. Come on local council sort it out, do the right thing and think about your people and people like me who come to your beautiful town, you need a skate park.
