Petition to show support for the building of skate facilities in Long Eaton
We have no facilities and there are a large number of skateboarders, rollerbladers Etc. who would greatly appreciate your help in securing this in order to pursue and improve in our chosen sport.
At this moment the main area that people choose to skate is next to tesco garage in the town center which is neither safe for us or convenient for the public, while we try to stay out of the way this is not always possible and we do not wish to be a nuisance to the general public or for skating to be seen as anti social behaviour.

im currently putting together a proposal to show the council why we need a real space instead of the spot by the tesco garage. getting all your messages about how much we need this spot has been super motivating so thanks for sticking with me.

i honestly cant believe how fast this is moving now. it feels like everyone in town is finally seeing why we need a proper spot to skate instead of hanging out by the tesco garage.

My son loves skating and there is literally nowhere safe for him to practice. please build it!
Would be much better than them skating on the paths in town and scaring the older folks.
Long Eaton needs this bad. nowhere for the kids to go just get hassled by police for skating at the shop.
GET IT BUILT! sick of being told to move on when we are just trying to enjoy the sport.
About time. stop acting like kids are criminals for just wanting a ramp to ride on.

Good for the local youth to get out the house instead of hanging around the streets.
