Please let ASU Prep know this is not the type of schooling model that brought so many families to ASU Prep. We need to know this is short term. If ASU is leaning into this "tech school" with days of learning lab where they learn in front of a computer, we need to know.
Ask ASU Prep to show some plan or commitment to moving our children back to the ASU model; the reasons we all signed them up for ASU Prep, the amazing teachers, the specials, the collaboration. We know that may not be feasible now, but please consider signing the petition telling the network office that you expect this to be a temporary move due to covid and that we will get the opportunity to see ASU return to it's normal teaching model once things have settled down.
If you are willing I would also like you to send an email asking that they create a plan as to what conditions they feel warrant bringing back full time in person instruction. There needs to be accountability, and clear goals/expectations as to when we can expect a little more ASU Prep in our children's lives.

I have been hearing from so many of you who miss the same classroom culture that I do. It is truly humbling to see that we all share the same vision for our children and I am only here because you chose to speak up.

Please bring back full-time in-person instruction for our children at ASU prep. I’m not sure how working parents are supposed pick up their children on half day schedule. This is not an option for many families. Many other districts are allowing full-time in-person instruction. Why not ASU?? We chose ASU prep for the amazing teachers and curriculum. Please reconsider!
I have a son who doesn’t do well with “distant learning”. He is on a IEP and needs someone sitting with him to help him it he doesn’t focus. He is behind in reading so trying to learn on his own is a struggle. He needs the assistance of teachers and we chose ASU because of their personalized focus. This learning lab is a big disappointment and is having me considering pulling my kids as my son cannot get further behind than he already is.
Do not take away from the importance of in-person learning from our children. As educators you should already know how important person to person learning is for their future mental, socialogic and future professional growth. Please do not place us in the position to make the easy choice to seek this model outside ASU. ASU is home for so many of us; however, our kids future is our heart and priority!

I want my daughter to go to school for in person instruction for her final year at ASU. We have been at the school since day one and it’s important to us for her to finish here.
I hope we will eventually resume a regular schedule once the covid-19 is under control.
Yes please return ASU Prep to the original model, hybrid and online doesn't work for our 3 children.

We really appreciate all of the options we have been provided with ASU Prep in this difficult time! We appreciate all of the time and thought that has gone into keeping our kids and families safe!! But we really hope that this isn’t a permanent school model as we want our kids face to face with a teacher and classmates as much as possible. Thanks again for all you do!
