Updates

March 31, 2014

The volume of support has now reached a scale that forces the planning committee to acknowledge our objections during the upcoming proceedings. I am currently finalizing the formal brief to be presented at the Woodgreen offices to ensure our arguments against the greenfield development are officially recorded for the record.

The real beneficiaries of this development are the wealthy landowners and the developers who no doubt have taken an 'option' on the site with the landowners 'lobby group' promoting this as a development for the benefit of the villagers...how so!! ...school is full, fields flood , run off from the proposed development will go where??

Outside village boundary, sewerage cannot accommodate this development. School almost at capacity already

The flooding last year came within 2 feet of our front gate! The proposed development represents an unacceptable risk to residents, especially here at the end of Bull Street; the WODC should apply the Environment Agency's 'precautionary principle' and reject the application. Good luck!

Recent events with flooding and drainage problems in the village contradict the E.A. comment that this area is NOT a flood risk.

Iam concerned about the extra traffic in Cote road, which is getting buseier by the day. also concerns about expanding the school to take the extra pupils who would attend the school which would also add more traffic.

Sewage Pumping Station on the proposed development site is inadequate for the additional housing needs. This development will also change the village boundary and open the door for futher development merging Aston and Cote
