Iam concerned about the extra traffic in Cote road, which is getting buseier by the day. also concerns about expanding the school to take the extra pupils who would attend the school which would also add more traffic.

Too many villages are being spoilt be being over developed too quickly.

The discussion points are all very valid but another point worth noting is the volume of traffic on roads which are too small now.

Flood risks and worries re: school places are my main concerns.

We should not allow the development of a green field site outside the village boundary which increases flooding risks.

There are many issues with the use of the land where this residential scheme is being proposed to be built here some of them on top of the protected wildlife: + Greenfield: The land is a greenfield + Floodable field: in unseasonably wet months (examples are: May and June 2007, Oct to Dec 2012, as well as Nov 2013 – Jan 2014) this field gets flooded. The flooding goes beyond the field putting at risk the houses that are on its border. + Access roads to Aston: currently the access roads are single line roads (B4449, Aston Road) that have many blind spots, being prone to accidents putting into risk the people of the village. + School and traffic: The additional traffic can cause problems with children and families crossing the street. + School: Local school is already under stress. + Village facilities and work: The village facilities do not provide a place for people to come and work here. Which means that all the people that buy a house in this proposed residential scheme need a car or appropriate transport. Currently there are not many buses coming to the village. With this we go back to my point on access roads.

The land is unsuitable for housing due to the drainage and sewerage problems. I would suggest you look at land near David Cameron home and see how he likes it.

There are too many issues that need to be addressed. I'm completely against this development in a greenfield.

Flooding, sewage system, local surgery, expansion of village boundries and so on. List of reasons for opposing is endless. The village cannot take more housing.

The Aston & Cote CE School provides education for the children of the local area. Already the school is in stress to cater for the education of the families living in the area. When we moved back in January 2013 the school could not offer a place to my youngest daughter. Thus, though we live at walking distance to the school I had to look for another nearby school (Bampton) where both of my children can attend the school. I had to wait until September 2013 for both of them to have a place in this school.

There are many issues with the use of the land where this residential scheme is being proposed to be built: + Greenfield: The land is a greenfield and additionally a Green Belt as it separates two different villages: Cote and Aston. This field is currently used for growing crops, so is not an unused land. + Floodable field: in unseasonably wet months (examples are: May and June 2007, Oct to Dec 2012, as well as Nov 2013 – Jan 2014) this field gets flooded. The flooding goes beyond the field putting at risk the houses that are on its border. We have photographic evidence of the last years where this field has been flooded. Historic flooding information can be seen in: https://www.westoxon.gov.uk/files/download/5259-2816.pdf.

The farmers make use of these roads which again by adding more traffic will create problems. As there are no jobs in Aston which means that all the people that buy a house in this proposed residential scheme need a car or appropriate transport. + School and traffic: Cote Road (B4449) is the main road that gives access to the village. The Aston & Cote School is located in this road and thus all the children and parents walk this road to get to school every morning and afternoon. The additional traffic can cause problems with children and families crossing the street. Currently we do not have a traffic signal or a lollipop person that can help children and parents to cross the street. We do not need more traffic that can cause an accident involving the children or/and their parents. + School: The Aston & Cote CE School provide education for the children of the local area. Already the school is in stress to cater for the education of the families living in the area. When we moved back in January 2013 the school could not offer a place to my youngest daughter.

we just don't want to see the land destroyed and more cars through the village.

This proposed development is going to be built on a field that has flooded. Where will the flood water go? Back into the village?

Our village will be at further risk of flooding if this development goes ahead. David Cameron please listen to your constituents!

Sewage Pumping Station on the proposed development site is inadequate for the additional housing needs. This development will also change the village boundary and open the door for futher development merging Aston and Cote

The development will greatly increase the risk of flooding.
