Brian Gibson, whose resume is below, volunteered to fill the position vacated by Paul Boskovich's resignation at the June 25th board meeting. At that meeting there was a motion to appoint Brian; however, the board split 3/3 with two members wishing to open the field to all residents before making an appointment. The Board agreed to solicit owner resumes and meet again on July 5 to make the appointment.

Brian was the only homeowner to submit a resume for the position. However, the three dissenting Directors did not attend the July 5 meeting or two subsequent meetings. Without a quorum of four members present the Board cannot conduct business. The Board is at an impasse—no business is being handled, including pressing Design Committee requests for owners.

My wife, Michele, and I purchased our home in November 2012 and are full time residents. Key areas of experience and education that may be relevant to my service on the Board include: engineering degree; large corporate managerial experience in operations and finance; owner and manager, along with my wife, of a successful small business for 14 years; multi-year member of civic club Board of Directors; and, member and chair of church budget and finance committees.

If selected to fill the vacancy, my goal would be to promote and support actions that enhance quality of life and maximize property values thereby ensuring that Kilohana Ridge remains one of the premiere subdivisions in Kihei.
